GHRC Bloggers Wanted

We’re looking for a group of writers willing to contribute regularly to the GHRC Blog.

The ideal blogger will be:

  • Willing to write 1-2 blog posts per month (no maximum if you’re eager)
  • Willing to include photos and videos if necessary
  • Comfortable using online tools to publish content (or willing to learn)

What would you write about? Well, what I liked to tell my clients was to pick 3-5 topics that you can write a multitude of articles. For example, your topics could be: 1) Seasonal Training Tips 2) Endurance Running Diet  3) Recommended Gear. Within each of those topics, you could then write within the confines of that subject area. You could theoretically plan out your 1-2 blog posts for the entire year and start writing.

What we’re really looking for is for the blog to be a resource for runners in the club and the area. A lot of great information is always shared on Facebook within the club, but there are many people outside of Facebook that could benefit from your wisdom and experience training and racing.

If you’re interested, please email Kevin Curley at kfcurley@gmail.com. If you’re interested, but you definitely need training, let me know. We could easily do a training session.

About the Author:

I've been a member of the GHRC since 2014. I've gravitated towards triathlons lately and more mid-distance running. Last year (2016) was my first year during my active running years that I did not run a 5K. Instead, I ran my first long-distance relay and two Olympic-distance triathlons. I'm gearing up for a strong 39th year and hoping to finish two 70.3 triathlons (GR Tri & MiTi)
